Jilted bride likely is lucky wedding didn’t happen

He dumped you. Get over it.

That's the first thought that comes to mind when you read about the Hoffman Estates attorney who is suing her ex-fiance for jilting her four days before their fall 2010 wedding, leaving her on the hook for a tab of nearly $100,000.

But when you sift through all the details, you want to tell the runaway groom:

You screwed her over. Pay up for it.

Dominique A. Buttitta, now 32, and Vito V. Salerno, 31, were engaged in December 2007. No word on why the nuptials weren't to take place for nearly three years, but the two were scheduled to be married Oct. 2 in Barrington.
